The Public Works recently documented an amazing day with Red Bull. One of the best skateboarders in the world, Ryan Sheckler, and one of the best snowboarders in the world, Louie Vito (of Dancing with the Stars fame), spent the day with some of our Country’s military heroes.

2012 Red Bull Cold Rush Pre-Production

The Public Works is fired up to be working on Red Bull Cold Rush again this year. Last year we designed and built the on and off hill branding, trophies and produced still imagery of the event. 22 skiers were invited to do an all helicopter-accessed natural ski event. It was all time and this year looks to be taking a huge leap forward.

Pocketwizard

We were honored with the opportunity to beta test the new Pocketwizard FlexTT5 Nikon System and wanted to write this post on a few of our findings. The product is on the market and available to consumers now and they’re definitely worth checking out. This is not a full review, plenty of those already exist, just a highlight of a few things we loved about them.

Red Bull Photo Slideshow

Red Bull Cold Rush Video and Texas Trip

We already posted about designing, building, delivering, and installing the branding for the 2011 Red Bull Cold Rush in Silverton as well as shooting the event. We promised a video in that post so here it is:

We also just headed to Texas with a trailer full of infrastructure goodies to deliver. We designed and built this DJ booth is for Red Bull account Rich’s Bar. It is fabricated from powder-coated steel and fixed with color changing strobing LED lights side lighting the front branding.

Red Bull Cold Rush (*New Video)

Red Bull Sound Clash Dallas

We just got back from a crazy quick trip down to Dallas to shoot our second Sound Clash with Talib Kweli Vs. Ozomatli. Red Bull always knows how to throw a party and support the right people/bands/athletes/events. As always, sick concept and big names executed perfectly.

Ozomatli pulled out all the stops and put on an amazing show and Talib predictably spit hot fire all night long.

Red Bull Thre3 Style Finals

This weekend we shot the Thre3style finals at Club Beta in Denver, Colorado. Each of the 10 DJs had a 15 minute to put together a set including 3 genres of music. We heard everything from Easy E, Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, and Jay-Z to Pantera, Nirvana, and Bon Jovi, to the original Peanuts theme song. DJ’s are judged on track selection, technical skills, and crowd reaction.

Flying in the Land of Oil

Chris Santacroce and Othar Lawrence of the Red Bull Air Force set out to break the world distance record for motorized paragliding. Texas is apparently one of the best places in the world for catching thermals so we headed to Galveston. Their plan is to fly from Galveston as far North as possible and break the 150 mile mark. We were lucky enough to spend some time in the air with them.
