Line Skis’ “Digital” SIA Trade Show Booth
Jason Levinthal is the founder and creative mastermind behind Line Skis—builders of innovative, high performance, rider driven skis, ski poles and streetwear that support the next generation of skiers. Jason’s creative vision carried forward to Line Skis’ trade booth at this year’s SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show (SIA’s largest and most comprehensive trade show). Jason had the vision to build a truly unique trade booth, and he sought The Public Works to construct it.
Line Skis has dubbed themselves the self-appointed “Kings of Online Media.” They can back up this title with some of the biggest video download numbers in the ski industry. The trade booth display needed to proudly highlight this fact—displaying many loops of their best clips, while also displaying Line Skis’ products. To meet this end, The Public Works created custom shipping containers that doubled as the foundation of the display. On top of these containers, we stacked over 35 old CRT monitors and several TVs. All were functional, running off of seven different computers . It took a baker’s dozen of VGA splitters and a metric mile of VGA cords, but we were able to wire the whole thing. The end result was a truly unique, functional and eye-catching cool display of electronic chaos and client product—a physical realization of Line Skis’ “Traveling Circus” marketing campaign.
