Red Bull Manny Mania

The Denver stop of Manny Mania, a grass-roots skateboard competition sponsored by Red Bull, was hosted by another of The Public Works’ clients, Emage skate shop. The Public Works was recruited to create skateable, branded features for the event. This project gave The Public Works the ability to deliver on many facets of our skills.  Working with pro-skaters and Emage, we pushed our creativity in branding and developed a way to use water-jet cut Skatelite (a composite skate park surface) to create beautiful branding pieces. These features were built to be portable and tough, and that goal was achieved as the pieces continue to serve in the fleet of Red Bull infrastructure.

Once the build of the branding features was complete, we put on another of our many hats and began our Red Bull Photofiles duties. At Red Bull’s request, The Public Works photographed the entire event, including the skate contest and the surrounding patron experience.  We later produced a DVD showcasing the event.
