Red Bull/MSP Image Stands

Red Bull, the energy drink and lifestyle company, sponsors athletes, including freeskiiers.  Matchstick Productions is a freeskiing film production company.  For Matchstick Productions’ yearly film tour, Red Bull asked The Public Works to create a mobile image display system that would display each of the Red Bull-sponsored skiers appearing in each Matchstick Productions’ film. 

Since sponsorships and film deals change, we needed to create a display system that could be easily interchanged without having to completely tear apart or reassemble the piece.  We designed and fabricated display stands that not only achieved this goal, but also look great in both formal and informal settings.  Each piece was double-sided, featuring imagery of the Red Bull athlete with their name displayed in water-jet cut steel.  We also thought to give each stand its own set of lights, allowing even greater display flexibility with the option of individual stands being showcased in different parts of a theatre or venue.
