Ring of Fire Volcano Tour

From the moment big mountain skier, Chris Davenport, first conceived his Ring of Fire Tour, The Public Works was ready to join in on the action. The Ring of Fire Tour was an epic adventure in which Davenport, along with a small crew of hearty, skilled souls, including professional big mountain skier, Jess McMillan, climbed and skied 15 volcanoes throughout the PNW and California. Davenport and McMillan completed the 15 volcanoes in 14 days; a total of 78,674 feet and 141.32 miles.

The Public Works helped produce the trip. We brought on a few large sponsors, including Whole Foods Market. We also helped devise a media strategy. And we joined the tour for the last 5 volcanoes, producing photo and video content for media outlets and sponsors. Carrying camera equipment up 70,000+ vertical feet of climbing was a challenge, but the results were well worth it.

The trip had an enormous impact between social media numbers, traditional media coverage, and road-time with the branded vehicles. The whole adventure was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
