Spyder Imagery
project overview
The Public Works is proud to shoot a broad range of still and moving imagery for Spyder—a superior, high-tech, global skiwear company. Our photography work for Spyder spans many categories, including: action, lifestyle, in-studio product, portraiture, and on-location shoots. We even shoot and produce moving pictures for Spyder, including dynamic 360-degree, on-body, product videos for inclusion in their new website. We’ve also begun to document our experiences on location, including a kids’ shoot that you just need to see to believe.
The only way to fully understand the range of what we shoot is to explain it in black-and-white: Spyder is the largest ski-only apparel company, and The Public Works has the dubious and exhilarating task of photographing all 2,500+ items each season for Spyder’s catalog, website, and marketing needs. Over the course of four months, we wheel in racks of product, and shoot them one-by-one on mannequins specific to items (e.g., men’s, women’s, kid’s, etc.). In addition to that massive undertaking, we shoot all of Spyder’s events, on-location, and lifestyle shots that we can fit into our schedule.
Throughout all of our work with Spyder, we have been thrilled to be able to photograph some of the best skiers in the world in some of the world’s most beautiful places.
Whether it’s an on-location shoot at Copper Mountain, or heading to Aspen to catch up with Dav at a charity event, or hitting up Mammoth with Julia and TJ for some lifestyle shots, we have all of Spyder’s imagery needs covered.
